The Pictsweet Company is looking for production associates with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance to join our vegetable processing facility in Bells, TN. Team members strive to produce quality branded products in a fast-paced, safe, and clean environment. This position is for an off-shift schedule. Candidates will need to be available to work different hours than the normal production shift.


  • Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, weigh machines, packaging machines, metal detectors, pneumatic systems, material handling systems, electrical controls and PLC's
  • Actively develop solutions to limit operational downtime
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of assigned packaging line(s) to ensure optimum production and quality standards
  • Evaluates mechanical performance and assist in planning appropriate adjustments
  • Maintains appropriate mechanical records and reports
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned
  • Communicates frequently with plant supervision regarding production. Anticipates and resolves problems.
  • Ensures a safe work place. Follows Pictsweet Hazardous Communication Plan, Lock-out/Tag-out Program, Process Safety Management Plan, and all applicable safety standards
  • Works cooperatively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, machine operators and production workers to ensure the optimal performance of packaging machines and other equipment

  • Must have 2 years' experience in high-speed production environment.
  • Prefer experience in hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, weigh machines, metal detectors, high-speed production equipment, material handling systems, electrical controls and PLC's.
  • Having knowledge of food packaging equipment, principles, quality control, HACCP and GMP's is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of basic mechanical and related electrical systems.



Cognitive & Psychological
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English.
  • Must be able to understand basic mathematical computation.
  • Must have a practical understanding of mechanical operations, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical controls, computer controls and programmable logic controls (PLC).
  • The above knowledge is normally gained through high school and post high school training, such as a technical school diploma, craft apprenticeship, or other specialized training.
  • Must be able to excel in a cooperative team environment

  • Standing for extended period.
  • Able to work in cold environment (30-40 degrees).
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds.

*As determined by "fit for duty" assessment by medical professional.

  • Be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekend and holidays).
