Madrona Specialty Foods, a subsidiary of Dare Foods Ltd. andmaker of LaPanzanella Croccantini crackers and other fine food products, has an exciting opportunity in Tukwila, Washington for a Material Planner!

As a member of the Production Planning Team, you will be responsible for the tactical execution of ordering and maintaining inventory replenishment. You are comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You can react to forecasts, seasonality and schedule changes by adjusting inventory patterns and will apply effective analytical skills and root cause analysis. Your skills will be complemented by your ability to collaborate with other departments and build a strong internal network of customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities include:

  • All aspects of inventory control within the production facility
  • Ordering and monitoring optimized levels of raw and operating materials
  • Develop, implement and support receiving, inventory, material handling and shipping processes
  • Establish and implement continuous improvement goals
  • Assure manufacturing lead-time controls are in place, adjust for accuracy and reliability
  • Ensuring that all job tasks are performed in compliance with all food safety and quality management system rules, procedures, policies and guidelines
  • Support special projects as required

Education and Experience Required

  • 1-2 years of years of Supply Chain Planning experience.
  • Degree in Business, Logistics, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • Strong computer skills; working knowledge of SAP system considered an asset
  • Strong supply chain process knowledge in the food or other regulated industry.?
  • BRC knowledge is not required but highly desirable.?
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.?
  • Strong working knowledge of MS applications
