Summary

The Marketing Associate will be involved in all aspects of Niman Ranch marketing and communications supporting all the logistics and administration of the department. This role will closely work with the Brand Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Specialist along with the communications, sales, and sales support team. We are seeking a team player that is a very well organized and holds a strong attention to detail.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Manages the entire marketing request pipeline process to ensure that all requests are prioritized accordingly and delivered on brand and on time
  2. Create and develop basic in-house/internal collateral, digital graphics, email layout, etc
  3. Assist with developing, managing and designing layouts of communications such as presentations, newsletters, event support materials, case studies, and brochures
  4. Maintains and organizes the company digital asset management tool
    1. Ensures all marketing, sales, and communications collateral/assets are always current, relevant and readily available in the digital asset management tool
  5. Updates and edits a variety of digital and print marketing materials including website pages and blog posts, digital content calendar, emails, labels, packaging, sell sheets, presentations, etc
  6. Helps with scheduling posts and content on the website, social media, and email
  7. Actively monitors POS requests coming through the online ordering form
  8. Prepares all the POS shipments - picks the POS materials in accordance to the order, packs the POS materials and ensures timely delivery to recipient
  9. Maintains an organized POS room - ensuring all material/collateral are quick and easy to find
  10. Prints and collates marketing/sales collateral necessary to include in POS shipments
  11. Manages the production and inventory of marketing/sales Tool Kits and Welcome Kits
  12. Runs various errands on an as-needed basis for the marketing team including dropping of shipments to FedEx/USPS and picking up samples from our local distributor
  13. Assists in any necessary event planning and event support including working an event
  14. Provides support with graphic design, presentations and sales collateral
  15. Anticipates the needs of the department and proactively execute on them
  16. Support the marketing team with an ever-changing task list and various other efforts as needed

Minimum Education

  • Bachlors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Advertising or related field.

Experience Requirements

  • 0 - 3 years experiencewith food industry brands or working at marketing or public relations agency.
  • Working knowledge of traditional and digital marketing concepts
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Graphic design and strong familiarity with Adobe Creative (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Comfortable supporting and working with team members in multiple remote locations
  • Ability to function as part of a team, yet work independently
  • Make independent decisions based on information gathered
  • Must be highly organized and a critical thinker
  • Strong ability to self-manage and work to deadlines
  • Creative with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and communication skills

Experience Preferred

  • 3 - 5 years of marketing experience preferred
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and digital design a plus

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment
