Marketing & Sales Analytics Manager (New Position)

Nulixir is seeking to fill a new position responsible for marketing and sales analytics for our nanotechnology ingredient company business focused on food and beverage (F&B) manufacturing customers. We create, sell, manufacture and ship proprietary ingredients to customers using our patented IP processes to significantly enhance functional ingredient efficacy within customers’ food and beverage products.

This newly created position, Marketing & Sales Analytics Manager will oversee and implement data gathering, mining, analysis and recommendations related to market trends at macro and micro levels, pricing/costs/profitability at macro and customer/product-specific levels, customer relationship management (CRM systems) for all customers and all customer sales metrics, and marketing/advertising analytics.

This position will be based at our HQ facilities located in the Austin, TX Metropolitan Area (Cedar Park, TX).

Position Overview:

Currently we are a funded, early-stage food technology company with actual customers embarking on a scale-up from batch production of finished goods in our labs to large-scale process manufacturing for a wide array of customized finished goods sold to an expanding roster of customers across multiple product verticals.

In this critically important role, you will be responsible for:

  • gathering and analyzing market intelligence and research (category verticals, customers, competitors, consumer market trends, etc.)
  • pricing/cost/profit analysis and recommendations (macro, product-specific and customer-specific)
  • implementing and maintaining CRM systems (starting from manual entries and transitioning to CRM software system)
  • identifying and collecting sales metrics for reporting and analyses
  • analytical support for performance metrics of advertising and marketing programs

Within this position you will inform and assist the CEO, President, and Sales/Business Development Managers as well as other key constituents in business planning and decisions.

Qualifications:

We are seeking an individual with degree(s) and training in one or more of the following fields: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Research Methods, Quantitative Analysis & Methods, Statistics

Relevant Job Experiences & Skills

You are knowledgeable, capable, and experienced in:

  • identifying and analyzing market intelligence to understand underlying influences and trends within food, beverage, and supplement; category verticals, as well as among consumers, trade channels and competitors;
  • overseeing and utilizing CRM systems and best practices to support customer relationships and information management;
  • use of analytical tools to support cost/price/profitability (value chain) analyses for raw materials, finished products and customers’ products at both high level and specific customer and product levels;
  • identifying and analyzing key customer metrics to support our growth strategies for specific customers;
  • collecting and analyzing data from advertising and marketing vehicles to evaluate program performance;
  • communicating findings, implications, and recommendations from your analyses to key constituents;

Important Considerations Regarding This Role:

  • A minimum of 3+ years marketing/sales analysis and/or related experience in B2C and/or B2B categories.
  • Experience with rapidly growing, fast paced businesses.
  • Experience and skills understanding consumer market segments, customers and needs – with experience in fast paced consumer goods or their supply chain – especially food and beverages.
  • Experience with sales analytics and support including sales data inputs and Customer Relationship Management software implementation.
  • Experience analyzing results from marketing support plans including paid target advertising, online and offline events, and content marketing (white papers, case studies and blogging/podcasts, etc.)
  • Collaborative work style with colleagues across functions, partners, and external support resources to analyze and draw actionable conclusions that impact sales and marketing strategies and plans.
  • Strong research, and data analysis skills with ability to connect the dots, draw insights and make recommendations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings and to support conclusions and recommendations.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and resilient – with ability to define goals, prioritize workplans and overcome obstacles.
  • Experience in managing proprietary and confidential product portfolios with utmost discretion.

Pay Range:

  • $90 - $125K plus bonus
  • Stock Options (after initial employment period)
