Basic Purpose and Scope: This position will manage a team that is responsible for the General Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, activities of the organization. This position will be responsible for managing and supporting business needs, maintaining compliance with GAAP, working with customers and vendors on payment activities and overseeing the treasury management processes of the business. Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Manage General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable activities of the organization- 40% Support and help oversee the annual budget process and rolling forecast analysis as needed- 10% Manage monthly accounting closing process, analyze monthly financial statements and supplemental schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and banking requirements- 10% Perform, review, and approve journal entries for general accounting- 10% Oversee compliance items such as audits, performance agreements, benefit audits, and review of appropriate tax filings- 10% Assist with banking activities such as wires, transfers, compliance certificate, credit cards, etc.- 10% Oversee AP, AR, GL policies and procedures to ensure that the correct controls are in place to safeguard company assets- 10% Oversee performance of credit card audits and conduct investigations when requested or required- On-Going Provide excellent internal customer service to business partners- On-Going Oversee the general ledger set up and functionality to ensure data integrity- On-Going Identify solutions to streamline the AP, AR, and General Accounting procedures- On-Going Oversee and perform special projects and accounting system implementations- On-Going Conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested- On-Going Coordinate tax preparation and filings with tax accountants- On-Going Ability to meet attendance requirements- On-Going Other activities and duties as assigned- On-Going

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK:
Education: BS in Accounting or Finance. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Experience: 5+ years’ experience in Accounting, Finance, or financial statement auditing roles. Knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal controls oversight. Minimum 5 years supervisory experience leading a finance or accounting team. Must have team-oriented, positive attitude. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently in the common language. Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have the ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong Excel, Word, Outlook skills.
Travel up to 2-5% of the time should be expected for trainings and development opportunities.
