Participate in the maintenance and repair of plant, lab, and office equipment along with the building structure(s), parking lots and outside grounds. Ensure that the plant equipment is always in good and safe working condition, to prevent production down time

  • Pro-active maintenance to include all equipment and machinery in the plant. Keep equipment and machinery in safe working condition
  • Troubleshoot and repair
  • Respond to all maintenance calls in a timely manner and perform preventative maintenance
  • Work safely and maintain a safe work environment following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety practices
  • Understand and follow OHSA regulations as it pertains to all aspects of maintenance (example: Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ladder safety, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.

  • High school diploma or general education degree GED. AAS in Industrial Maintenance preferred.4-6 Years Maintenance Experience
  • Strong Electrical skills
  • Good Mechanical skills.
  • Proficient in: PLC's, and Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problem solving in variable situations
  • Must be able to work well with others or independently
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Forklift certified or the ability to become certified
  • Computer skills required
  • Ability to work overtime with limited notice
  • Must be pleasant, mature and can resolve service issues in a timely, organized, and cost-efficient manner
  • Must be able to handle many diversified tasks at one time and correctly prioritize conflicting, time sensitive tasks
  • Must work weekends when required
