Job Description:

Job Description: Maintenance Planner and Scheduler is responsible for planning all preventative maintenance for the department, complete purchasing tasks, and plan and assist with execution of maintenance projects. Additionally, the Planner and Scheduler may be asked to perform line work, perform advanced trouble shootings and support the overall maintenance function wherever necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Fully plan work orders, including internal operations, material purchases/requisitions, service purchases, labor purchases.
  • Estimate labor hours and cost and plan jobs and materials. Prioritize and schedule maintenance assignments.
  • Identify need for and write preventative maintenance scheduling frequencies.
  • Create, maintain, prioritize and schedule preventive maintenance to ensure maximum protection of the plant assets.
  • Manage and communicate the preventative maintenance schedule, general services and any tooling to be done with Maintenance and Operations
  • Coordinate with the maintenance leaders to ensure that maintenance duties are effectively executed
  • Manage the Material Operating System (MOS). Establish preventive and predictive maintenance process through MOS, work order tracking and usages.
  • Participate in shift production meetings and weekly maintenance scheduling meetings to prioritize and schedule work
  • Provide support to maintenance technicians as needed
  • Provide technical assistance to the maintenance group, assist in troubleshooting and other problem solving/coordinating assignments. Coordinate contractor assignments.
  • Use data and statistical problem solving techniques to improve the plant reliability as measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPI&##39;s) while reducing unit cost
  • Organize and maintain spare parts lists, maintenance manuals, and drawings
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Experience Preferred (Number of years and type):

  • 5+ years maintenance experience
  • Technical or vocational schooling preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently, and coordinate multiple projects utilizing available resources
  • Experience working with SAP preferred
