City Brewing Company, a leading contract manufacturer in the beverage industry, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Planner in our Packaging Maintenance Department at our La Crosse, WI facility. This position is responsible for improving work force productivity through planning, scheduling and tracking of all maintenance work performed. Maintains liaison and coordination between the production and maintenance organizations; maintains appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results of work completed.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of the site’s CMMS system to include:
    • Creating, scheduling, issuing and closing of work orders
    • Updating PM tasks, schedules and staffing requirements
    • Ensuring asset histories are accurately tracked
    • Ensure critical spares are identified and gaps versus current inventory are communicated
    • Ensure OEM recommendations are implemented via PM work orders
  • Schedule planned maintenance activities via:
    • Kitting of work orders (purchasing, receiving and tracking parts inventory)
    • Coordinating with Packaging/Brewhouse to schedule downtime
    • Coordinating with vendors and OEMs to support plant operational/training/support needs
  • Serve as liaison in facility to increase PM program effectiveness via:
    • Tracking completion and execution of PMs and work orders by technician, machine, department, etc.
    • Tracking PM completion rate, planned vs unplanned, work order backlog, etc.
    • Facilitating weekly execution meetings
    • Facilitate weekly planning meetings
  • Maintain drawings and documentation / manuals for equipment.
  • Act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of department Supervisors

Qualifications:

  • Technical Certification; BS in Engineering preferred.
  • Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment; food/beverage preferred.
  • 3-5 years maintenance experience, to include working knowledge of: 3-phase motor control and power distribution, hydraulics, PLCs, pneumatics, refrigeration, steam systems, reading and understanding machine manuals, reading schematics and blueprints, and following CMMS process and protocol.
  • Basic knowledge of Food Safety and a requisite HACCP program.
  • Strong computer skills. AutoCAD preferred.
  • Selected candidate must be willing to work any and all shifts, weekends when necessary to cover the needs of the business.
