Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Technical, vocational, trade school education or equivalent is preferred.
Hoisting license needed to move heavy equipment
Three to five years' experience troubleshooting, repairing and servicing heavy equipment and trucks
Knowledge and experience with pickup and utility trucks, tri-axles, trailers, etc. (Ford, Chevy, International, Kenworth, Peterbilt; (both gas and diesel engines)
Knowledge and experience with repair of heavy equipment; Volvo, John Deere, Caterpillar, Bobcat; etc
Must have experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
Welding and fabricating experience a plus
Perform maintenance and repairs on construction equipment & trucks at various work sites and company shop. Repair/Replace hydraulic hoses, pumps, motors, etc.
Perform small engine maintenance service and repair (road saws, pipe saws, compactors, blowers, etc.)
Must demonstrate good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude,
Analyze and Diagnose (troubleshoot) equipment malfunctions or failures.
Read and interpret equipment manuals. Research repair needs and order parts as needed.
Perform assigned tasks in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and standards
Work both independently without supervision and as a team
Work overtime when needed
