We produce made-to-order, customized blends of Wisconsin cheese for food service and food processing applications.Our production Associates play an extremely important role in the seven-day a week operation, providing support in cheese making, whey processing, packaging, and sanitation duties.


  • 1st shift schedule available (8AM-4PM)
  • Holiday and weekend work is required on a rotating basis


This position is responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment, troubleshoots mechanical/electrical problems and performs repairs, to help eliminate downtime related to maintenance issues and improves line output, assist with vacation coverage as need within the rotation, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Work safely, following all safety procedures including Lockout Tagout and confined space entry rules, and setting a good example for all employees in safe work practices.
  • Ensure quality and food safety best practices are followed during maintenance operation.
  • Effectively trouble shoot and maintain PLC programs, HMI, and work with related machine suppliers and corporate integrator team on such systems as necessary.
    • Troubleshoot and calibrate an RTD.
    • Troubleshoot and calibrate a pH probe.
    • Troubleshoot and calibrate a Conductivity probe.
    • Troubleshoot and calibrate a level sensor.
    • Go online with a PLC and troubleshoot why the device will not operate.
    • Be able to verify that signals from proximity switch is reaching the PLC program.
    • Be able to verify the PLC program is telling an output to energize.
    • Understand and preform the state required PMO test for broken seals.
  • Maintain facility and related maintenance systems, including preventative maintenance programs, performing systems repairs and equipment installations, in an appropriately manner.
  • Trouble shoot equipment problems and coordinating repair & replacement projects with minimum production interruptions and downtime.
  • Identify parts needing replacement, including following appropriate purchase order procedures to maintain an adequate supply of repair parts and supplies while minimizing costs.
  • Communicate maintenance issues to management that are considered a Safety or Health hazard or that could result in operational downtime.
  • Operate and maintain boilers and refrigeration equipment in an appropriate manner.
  • Inspect, prepare and safely operate all shop tools such as lathe, drill press, grinder, welder and any other hand or specialty tool/instrument associated with shop work.
  • Perform welding repairs in an appropriate manner to various metals, including stainless steel.
  • Work directly with production associates to develop their basic trouble shooting skills, including training them to perform basic and routine assembly/disassembly functions.
  • Maintain shop housekeeping in accordance with our GMP policy, including keeping all maintenance related areas clean and orderly.
  • Follow preventative maintenance program, master sanitation schedule, electrical permits and post maintenance inspection process.
  • Complete boiler EPL and other log documentations and work orders as assigned.
  • Disassemble, repair/replace defective components and reassemble equipment in an appropriate manner, including testing repaired equipment for proper operation prior to returning it to production.
  • Ensure proper GMP and sanitation practices are followed prior to releasing equipment to production.
  • Be a strong advocate and support to all employees.
  • Assist with manpower, equipment downtime scheduling and trials.
  • Regular and punctual attendance and physical presence in the workplace.
  • Timely and accurate completion of duties.
  • Occasional travel for work, from 0% up to 33% of the time.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to correctly add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to correctly compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Prior to assignment to job, the successful candidate will be required to pass an Aptitude Test. Foremost Farms USA to administer entry testing.
  • Other Skills & Abilities: Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and keyboard, calculator, FAX, photocopier, telephone, postage machine, paper shredder, scanner, etc. Must have the ability to drive a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver s license.

The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places an in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Protective Equipment Employee is required to utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) that is suitable for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner.


This position requires a of two-year technical school industrial maintenance or other related degree program or certificate and working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and related networks.


Must have a high level of technical knowledge of electricity, electronics, electro-mechanical devices, and pneumatics. Must demonstrate strong analytical and trouble shooting skills. Must have a working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (Contrologix and Compactlogix) and PanelViews and related networks (EthernetIP). Must have a working knowledge of RSLogix Studio 5000 software and the ability to troubleshoot using this software. PLC knowledge is required. Must have a sound working knowledge of industrial instrumentation and related electrical components including calibration of instruments.

Must have taken and passed additional course work that covers the following or similar areas

  1. Industrial Electrical Controls.
  2. Intro to Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers.
  3. Intermediate Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers.
  4. Industrial automation level 1
  5. Industrial automation level 2

Must be able to prioritize projects and request guidance from management staff as needed. Must have the ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration schematics and operational requirements of the Wastewater Treatment equipment. Must attends in-house and off-site training as assigned actively applies new procedures and skills while performing daily work.
