Logistics Operations Associate II (RTS-WEAH)

Job Description

RTS is responsible for operational exception management occurring in one of Niagara’s designated geographic Supply Chain regions. This role is heavily focused on reducing costs and improving service by using a real time tracking platform to identify and process exceptions proactively and solve logistics issues in real time.

The RTS role supports logistics needs for both internal and external customers such as Niagara shipping, Customer Service, Production, Sales, Customers and Carriers.

***This will be for the WEAH team working nights.

Essential Functions

  • Primarily focused on the following logistics related tasks:
  • Proactively identify and resolve delivery exceptions through a real time visibility dashboard
  • End to end responsibility trouble shooting and problem solving;
  • Including but not limited to, rescheduling orders, approving assessorial costs, RMA’s, identifying proper recovery timeline and communicating to customers.
  • Collaborating with customers and carriers to reduce assessorial charges and increase service levels
  • General exception management and issue resolution
  • Reactively identify and solve missed pickup through Niagara TMS
  • Updating all real time tracking documents with the information identified through the visibility platform
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key relevant parties for designated region:
    • Niagara plant teams (including leaders i.e. Supervisors and DC managers)
    • Core carriers that service the region
    • Customer Service team members
    • Production scheduler
    • Logistics Procurement
    • Customers
  • Responsible for understanding key KPI’s and driving improvement through day to day execution
  • Working cross regionally to develop, standardize and document best practices and SOP’s
  • Recording process exceptions with 100% compliance
  • Identifying and developing solutions for improvements in process and communication between departments
  • Proficient in key Supply Chain applications including Oracle EBS, OTM, Service Cloud and Four Kites Visibility platform.
  • Training and providing support for new employees

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
    • 2 Years - Experience in Position
    • 0 Years – Experience managing people/projects

  • Minimum Required:
    • High School Diploma

  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor&##39;s Degree in Business, related field, or equivalent work experience.
