Provide analytical and tactical support as a critical partner to the strategic logistics team. Act as primary liaison throughout DFA&##39;s Commercial Operations, ensuring transparency in change management, order fulfillment, issue resolution, and supplier management. Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Develop innovative, cost effective systems that support global growth, margin management, and improved customer experience. Use a variety of tools to predict and improve service and/or cost tied to daily operations. Provide and communicate recommendations to Leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic team with data and tools:

    • Develop templates and analyses as new needs arise
    • Develop and maintain monthly performance reporting
    • Provide monthly, weekly, and ad hoc data analysis to support decision making
    • Support the preparation of annual budget and cost analysis
  • Support business and supply chain optimization, cross-functional leadership, and continuous improvement:
    • Analyze logistics spend for cost savings and continuous improvement opportunities
    • Provide data and analysis for benchmark studies to improve service and reduce cost
    • Gather and assemble critical data for network optimization review
    • Identify and lead streamlining projects as requested
    • Support change management efforts across the Supply Chain
    • Support management of cost-saving/avoidance tracker and help ensure projects are understood and adopted by affected stakeholders by monitoring project performance versus forecast
    • Collaborate with Customer Service to identify, document, and resolve order issues (e.g., short lead order, customer complaints, late shipments, SAP errors, incomplete master data records), escalating to strategic team only when predefined conditions are met
  • Manage third-party systems:
    • Oversee the data flow to and from the TMS and Third-Party Freight Payment provider to ensure timely and accurate data exchanges
    • Monitor traffic report to support error resolution between SAP and TMS
    • Perform a Super User role working with IT for SAP/Power BI development to create reporting, automate, and educate the team on reporting capabilities
    • Document DFA Logistics Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Support management of supplier base:
    • Develop tools and techniques to support logistics RFP&##39;s
    • Coordinate logistics supplier contract requests with procurement and legal departments
    • Collaborate with Procurement to ensure supplier registry accurately reflects current portfolio (and potentially future, if dormant) of engaged suppliers
    • Ensure suppliers records are up-to-date and comply with contract requirements
