Position Overview

The Local ICT Infrastructure Specialist provides both remote and on-site level II technical support for internal customers across the country. Guided by ITIL principals, the specialist is expected to resolve technical issues in a timely manner and coordinate the escalation of greater challenges to our expert teams. Daily peer meetings offer each specialist the opportunity to share newly gained insights promoting an environment for growth and continuous learning.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Coordinate, setup & deploy workforce computers and mobile devices

2. Perform personalized on-boarding technical orientation for new employees

3. Manage IT assets accurately throughout the entire hardware life cycle

4. Respond to Level II ticket requests in a timely manner ensuring SLA s are met

5. Install, maintain, and support standard network hardware and software

6. Develop and implement technical procedures where required contributing to knowledge base articles

7. Contribute to the planning and implementation of value-added projects

8. Support the business by providing responsive and effective technical support

9. Support manufacturing by reducing problem resolution time of technical challenges contributing to a higher OEE

10. Ensure appropriate communication & feedback with customers throughout the problem resolution life cycle

11. Ensure all global security policies, standards and procedures are understood, acknowledged, and adhered to

12. Contribute to ICT team success in meeting service level objectives


Education Requirements

  • Minimum: Vocational / Technical

Years Of Experience

  • 3 years Level I or II technical support experience

Prior Knowledge/Experience

1. Customer service oriented with excellent technical skills

2. Ability to create clear, concise documentation

3. Advanced knowledge of Windows 10+, Office 365, Active Directory and a good understanding of cloud computing

4. Good understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS and VLANs

5. Understanding of T568A/T568B cabling standards and trouble shooting

6. Experience with Windows Server 2016+ administration, SCCM and Intune

7. Experience with virtualization (VMWare/Vsphere)

8. Bar Coding experience / Seagull Scientific BarTender

9. Cisco Unified Communication Manager (Voice over IP)

10. PowerShell and Exchange experience

11. Experience with Cisco IOS layer 2 switching
