Job Summary: Primary responsibilities include scheduling all production employees and verifying payroll data within the timekeeping system. Responsibility to provide support in functional areas of Employee & Community Relations to employees and management, ensuring goals of the organization as well as compliance with federal, state and local laws. This position manages the production scheduling for the facility. Job Duties: Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: * Schedule all production employees in order to run all lines as efficiently as possible. * Maintains integrity of timekeeping reports. * Answers questions regarding attendance and other human resource policies and procedures. * Assists in communication, enforcement and administration of company policies. * Provides reports on labor data as needed to departments. * Maintains historical labor records by filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records. * Assists in accident (injury/illness) investigation. * Communicates processes and updates new hire evaluations as needed. * Supports process of Performance Correction Notices. * Manages employee leave and vacation. * Schedules overtime and de-crews lines within the guidelines of company policies. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. * Administer and aid in planning of company activities. * Assists in meeting our department&##39;s budget, expense approval from Employee and Community Relations Manager. Required Competencies & Knowledge: Knowledge of: * Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and how they apply to the organization. * Knowledge of payroll and time keeping administration. * Knowledge of employee and labor relations. Skill in: * Accuracy and attention to detail. * Problem solving. * Conflict resolution. * Able to comprehend verbal and written instruction. * Follow through independently on tasks. * Able to prioritize assignments. * Capable of functioning under stressful situation and come up smiling. * Treat all customers with respect and consideration. * Above average computer skills. * Bilingual in English and Spanish. Ability to: * Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. * Successfully multi-task. * Ensure collaborative relationships with industry, trade, other associations, regulatory agencies and Hearthside staff. * Lead &##39;best in class&##39; behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus. Proficiency in: MS Office Suite and Kronos Work Environment: * Work is primarily done in an office setting. * Infrequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature. Physical Requirements: * Sitting at a work station for extended periods of time. * Stand, walk, climb stairs on an infrequent basis. * Must be able to lift 20 pounds on an infrequent basis. Minimum Qualifications: * (1) One -- (3) Threes years experience in a Human Resources or Labor Coordinator role; Experience in the baking industry a plus. * High school diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate&##39;s degree preferred.
