We are based in Norwood, Massachusetts, which is comfortably within the Boston metropolitan area. HMF&##39;s facilities include a state-of-the-art plant, and R&D facility, as well as warehouse and Corporate functions. We are focused on continued growth and are executing against various initiatives that include additional product lines, new sales channels, greater penetration of our extensive customer relationships, as well as opportunistic acquisitions. Our success is directly dependent on attracting and retaining the best possible talent across our functions. To this end, we are posting for a strong Project Manager.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

We are looking for a full time Project Manager (PM) with strong business analysis skills. The PM is responsible for managing and delivering multiple complex projects that transform the business and help HMF to operate more effectively and efficiently. The PM will be responsible for driving the full lifecycle of project delivery, from requirements definition through implementation and roll out, working with a cross functional team of business and technical resources. The PM will be ultimately accountable for the success of the project and work closely with the business clients to ensure objectives are delivered as expected. Bridging the gap between business and technical personnel, the PM will perform business analysis activities to identify the optimum solution for the business needs. The PM leads user acceptance testing and, in some projects, plays a hands-on role in performing quality assurance during systems testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, coordinate and monitor all project activities ensuring all deliverables meet quality and performance objectives
  • Bridge client and technical areas to assess and develop end user, business and service requirements and translate into solution designs across people, process and technology.
  • Perform business analysis, quality assurance, systems testing, and user acceptance activities
  • Maintain a high level of communication with internal and external teams; providing clear, tactful, and complete directives, realistic deliverable deadlines and prompt feedback
  • Work side-by-side with project and departmental team members in a hands-on capacity in order to ensure that all deliverables meet client expectations
  • Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, dependencies, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Lead and direct project teams, drive accountability to team members and deliver project success.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Facilitate projects by defining agendas and running meetings.
  • Prepare project status reports and keep the team and management informed of project status and related issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Coordinate vendor activities by monitoring and tracking vendor deliverables and commitments.
  • Manage scope and the change request process, coordinating decision making of scope and budgetary impact of changes from original specifications.
  • Develop and manage system cut over plans
  • Track and maintain project and technical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years of IT project planning, management, and business analyst experience; and 5+ years in IT.
  • Sound project management knowledge, skills and abilities with a variety of methodologies (waterfall, lean, agile) and business process tools (e.g. swim lane diagrams), and the flexibility to apply the best method to the needs of each project
  • Experience in ERP and SaaS solution design - translating business requirements into re engineered processes, organizational structures and technology solutions
  • Experience taking project from conception to production managing all aspects of solution delivery including; requirements gathering, scope definition, resource planning, budget management, status reporting, risk management and change control.
  • Excellent facilitation, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to all functional groups; the ability to translate technical requirements and issues into appropriate context.
  • Ability to operate independently and set priorities amongst multiple task assignments
  • Proven ability to work & lead effectively in cross-functional, non-dedicated team
  • Must possess a can-do attitude and willingness to do what it takes to deliver projects on time and within budget. Persistent follow up to make sure project stays on track.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors to assist in or solely drive project delivery.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), CSM (Certified Scrum Master), or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing company preferred but not required
  • Bachelor&##39;s degree in IT, engineering, business or related field.
