IS Sr Analyst, M365 – Mississauga, ON

The Opportunity:
The Information Solutions Senior Analyst, Microsoft 365 role is a full-time position reporting to the Director, User Experience. Be part of a team managing Microsoft productivity and collaboration end user tools that allow our people to focus on doing their best work. Supporting digital consumer engagement and enterprise UX services are other aspects managed by this team.

You are well versed in the workings and features of the Microsoft 365 modern platform and how to apply this knowledge to create new ways of working for individuals and work groups that facilitates achieving their business objectives. Working in collaboration with other senior team members and cross-functional support teams, this role is focused on driving execution of initiatives and keeping our enterprise applications in top shape. Expect a high degree of interaction with our end users as you explore requirements, test concepts and drive adoption for Microsoft apps and solutions.

This position is based out of the Meadowvale campus offices, which at the current time is under COVID-19 protocols limiting on-site interactions. Initially, expect to work from home until further return to work policies are announced.

A snap shot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:

  • Configure administration of Microsoft 365 cloud-based suite of productivity applications in partnership with supporting technical services, client support or security counterparts
  • Design and configuration of modern solutions with Microsoft’s Power Platform to replace end of life SharePoint designer artifacts, e.g. InfoPath, workflows, etc. and create new apps which enable proficient and insightful processes
  • Collaborate with web development resources where back-end development is required as part of the solution
  • Review and assess impact of solution feature changes and releases announced on Microsoft’s Message Centre
  • Monitor governance and configuration drift, instituting corrective actions where required
  • Migrate documentation from on-premise repositories to well-structured and secure modern online collaboration solutions
  • Participate in end user workshops to capture and refine business requirements to translate into solution designs
  • Develop wireframes, process flows or prototypes for proposed solutions
  • Define information architectures that provide an intuitive user experience
  • Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) or facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on solutions
  • Manage support and incident cases assigned to the team queue, ensure compliance with the organizational change and release process
  • Develop supporting reference materials, coach and provide knowledge transfer on solutions developed for a sustainable operating model

What you will bring:

Keen interest in applying Microsoft talents to introduce new ways of working which embrace our digital tools:

  • Recent achievement of Microsoft certification; Teams or Power Platform of high interest

  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with managing Microsoft 365 configuration
  • Past experience in execution of migration from on-premise to Microsoft Teams and SharePoint online; familiarity with Microsoft’s SharePoint Migration Tool and/or ShareGate cloud management tool an asset
  • Applied experience in design and configuration of modern Microsoft solutions for business processes supporting a consumer packaged goods industry
  • High proficiency with Microsoft’s modern toolkit: SPFx, Themes, Site Designs, Teams Template, UI fabric, adaptive cards, Custom Teams Apps & Connectors
  • Proficiency in programming using tools such as PowerShell, SharePoint Online cmdlets, Microsoft Teams cmdlets, SharePoint PnP cmdlets, Azure AD cmdlets, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or responsive web design
  • Familiarity with other services such as Microsoft Azure is a nice to have
  • Familiarity with BMC Remedy / Smart IT or similar ticket management tools is beneficial
  • Highly collaborative nature open to sharing information and feedback amongst a skilled peer group to support the business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate their design concepts and conduct knowledge transfer of key concepts in simple terms or imagery end users can comprehend
  • High empathy, likes problem solving and organizing chaos to structure solutions that deliver value and drive adoption
  • Able to construct comprehensive and robust business processes Well organized and proficient, able to work independently on complex tasks and manage backlog priorities
