Job Description:

  • Performs full cycle hourly recruiting. Ensure compliance. Creates job postings, AAP tracking, offer letter generation, pre-employment checks, assist with new employee orientation and onboarding activities.

  • Processes hourly plant payroll. This includes data entry, auditing, managing the unemployment and termination processes.

  • Manage administration of benefits and leave of absence programs including workers compensation claims. Point of contact for benefit questions as they arise, including resolution of any problems.

  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning all areas of HR and employment.

  • Provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to employees, supervisors, and management.

  • Assist in investigating, answering and settling employee complaints of moderate complexity. Manages the progressive discipline system for hourly workforce.

  • Utilizes the HRIS (Workday) system to perform data entry changes, generate reports, and analyze data.

  • Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures including involvement in complex projects.

  • Responsible for timely communications of HR programs and policies; filing employee paperwork and presenting information at employee meetings.

  • Active participation and coordination of plant-wide initiatives and training and development.

  • Completes reporting for the department, plant operations and finance as needed, and other miscellaneous administrative duties.

Skills and Experience

  • 3 plus years of related Human Resources experience. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

  • Knowledge and understanding of payroll processing, leave administration and employment laws and regulations.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

  • Strong knowledge in HRIS, Kronos or similar software.

  • Excellent expertise in Microsoft Office suite programs.

  • Impeccable attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and see them to completion with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions/present solutions.

  • Ability to think proactively and being innovative in all aspects of HR.

  • Ability to work Monday through Friday during office hours but be able to shift to various hours to meet the needs of the plant, as needed.


  • Bachelor&##39;s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
