The HR Representative partners with plant management to align business objectives with employees and management and administrates the human resource functions including recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, communication, compensation, incentive programs, safety and ensures federal, state, local and company policies and procedures compliance. 

Responsibilities

  • Counsel management team and employees on employee relations issues
  • Supports plant management in business plan in accordance with company and departmental values by developing and recommending solutions regarding HR-related issues
  • Actively participates in interviewing to ensure compliance of selection.
  • Coordinates recruiting process to ensure compliance and achieving recruiting goals.
  • Conducts the on-boarding process.
  • Serves as benefits point of contact for plant employees, including plan change communication, enrollment, etc.
  • Ensures that HRIS and personnel records are accurately maintained.
  • Investigates employee complaints.
  • Reviews and recommends appropriate disciplinary action,  and makes appropriate recommendations to HR Manager and Plant Management.
  • Conducts training regarding compliance issues, skills development, etc.
  • Actively participates in the Company Safety programs.
  • Completes reports such as headcount and Utility, and others as required.
  • Manages and enforces monthly I9 audit
  • Conducts thorough off-boarding with employees and thoroughly understands the core nature of the turnover.  Provides thorough communication to HRM for corrective action.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required with at least two (2) years of applicable Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
  • PHR certification preferred.
  • Experience in human resources generalist roles.
  • Experience with FMLA, ADA, WC, CFRA, PDL and Personal Leaves.                                                                                                                
  • Bilingual English & Spanish required.
  • Strong customer focus approach to providing HR services and products to employees
  • Strong computer skills.
  • SAP & Kronos knowledge preferred.
