GODIVA is looking for a highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner to join their Regional HR Team. The HRBP is responsible for managing human resources related to our Wholesale, Ecommerce, and F, P, & A teams based both in office and remotely. This is a critical role that provides HR support and guidance to our sales channels, as well as serving as the primary HR support for ourCorporateoffice in New York City.

The HRBP delivers strategic, proactive and tailored guidance to managers and employees on ways to improve relationships, skills, outcomes, engagement and efficiencies. Responsibilities include working directly with Department Heads, Group Leaders, and employees with coaching/guidance on performance management, development, and management effectiveness. They will continuously monitor and diagnose the functional health of their client organizations and implement plans to proactively address areas for improvement. Additionally, the HRBP for the NYC office oversees theAdministrativeoperations & team for the New York Office. Ensuring that the operations of the Global Headquartersisrepresentative of the brand for visitors and staff in the location


  • Contribute to the business strategy by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes

  • Proactively engage client departments through immersion in their business objectives, team meetings and planning cycle

  • Support line management in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to managers and employees where appropriate

  • Understand employee opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns

  • Drive a talent lifecycle approach to proactively diagnose talent needs and build aggressive plans to identify, engage,assess,and onboard the right talent for the need.

  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan as well as participating in functional and cross-functional initiatives

  • Develop and promote feedback mechanisms for employees toinfluence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes

  • Implement HR policies and reward strategy to ensure that all reward decisions are fair and objective

  • Drive engagement and collaboration, leveraging our Values & Behaviors, GOYA, and supporting resources to help clients integrate and model our new cultural direction.

  • Champion diversity and inclusion efforts and continually drive to ensure client workforce is representative of our organizational need for diversity

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure that all recruitment activities are well planned, documented, approved and result in fast, compliant, high-quality hires.

  • Ensure all recruiting, on-boarding, promotion and exit activities with are well planned to deliver seamless, well support transitions resulting in continuous improvement in client organization capability.

  • Develop and maintain theAdministrativeoperations budget. Work with vendors to ensure that work/contracts for the NYC location is completed to standard and within cost. Maintain relationships with Site Management to ensure that the services they provide through the terms of our lease are met.


  • Bachelor s degree in human resources management, business administration or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.

  • 6+ years of human resources management experience

  • Successful HR generalist and/or specialist experience in a commercial environment (Wholesale, CPG, Ecommerce), experience in providing HR support to Senior level executives.

  • Must be well versed in employment laws and applications (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, voluntary retirement plans, etc.).

  • Excellent collaboration skills needs to work with HRBP peer group, as well as business partners at various levels

  • Superb interpersonal skills, high touch environment reflective of personal leadership skills, influencing, consulting and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.

  • Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Exceptional computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications like Excel). Workday experience a plus. Proficient in Outlook and standard Office applications.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the rigor and discipline to build the business and creative competencies that will allow us to stand outas an employer of choice.

  • Strong grasp of business strategy and the ability to prioritize.
