We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant/Receptionist to join our Human Resources team in Groveport, Ohio.
As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Assistant/Receptionist is responsible for performing administrative duties for management personnel and the human resources department. This role is also often a first point of contact for the Company, communicating with executive personnel of companies, customers, partners, job applicants and vendors.
Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external customers to include the greeting of clients, tenants, vendors, associates, job applicants and answering of general operator calls.
Prepare and deliver correspondence including e-mail, fax, and mail from staff and management, as directed.
Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office suite.
Prepare expense reporting for designated executives as needed.
Maintain filing system and coordinate paperwork to provide support for ongoing projects and initiatives.
Open, sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes; collect and process outgoing mail.
Generate various reports as needed.
Assist HR with associate requests and tracking of information.
Maintain all office equipment to ensure proper working order.
Manage office furniture and supplies in terms of vendor selection, pricing, ordering and receiving.
Manage vendor relationships for internal office needs (beverage services, uniform service, etc.).
Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.
High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of experience in a professional office environment required and at least one year in a related administrative role is desired. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a positive attitude, be self motivated, possess a customer service mind set and exhibit strong communication skills.
Must demonstrate strong organizational skills including ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and effectively manage time to complete assignments according to deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Must be proficient with use of computers including the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Experience using ADP software is a plus. Willingness and ability to quickly learn new computer programs.
Knowledge of telephone protocol and skill using multi-line telephone equipment.
Knowledge and skill using office machines such as copiers, printers, and fax machines.
