JOB DESCRIPTION

HACCP Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Technical Services

FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt – Salary Grade 2

Approved Date: April 2, 2021

Your Opportunity

This is an active position in a fast-paced environment and requires the individual to interact with team members on multiple levels to solve problems to ensure the safety, integrity, legality, and quality of the product.

What You Would Be Doing

  • Oversee HACCP Plans and Compliance Programs
  • Administrate and audit procedures to ensure they are current and in compliance with requirements
  • Review and trend data to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Initiate corrective actions when needed and follow through with corresponding departments to resolve the issue
  • Conduct random direct observations to verify HACCP and SSOPs are being performed correctly and paperwork is complete and accurate
  • Ensure “Root-Cause Analysis” is performed on all issues to successfully prevent future problems and/or concerns
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of deficiencies and/or deviations, including documentation
  • Work directly with production management, supervisors, and hourly personnel to ensure implementation
  • Assist in training associates in all areas of the plant, including BRC, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, SOP, etc.
  • Participate in 3rd party audits, including direct involvement with auditors
  • Strive to keep the plant and all personnel audit ready 100% of the time
  • Assist the Food Safety and Quality Assurance team in assuring food safety and product quality is achieved
  • Support QA team with on-the-job tasks and GMP/food safety/quality issue resolution
  • Other duties as assigned or as needed

  • Age 18 and authorized to work in the US

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk up to 8-10 hours per day
  • Lift 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in hot or cold work environment and must obey safety rules & exercise caution in all work activities.
