Global Quality and Food Safety (QFS) Manager - Various Locations

This is an exempt level position

Job Summary:
The Global QFS Manager is responsible for a unified approach for quality, food safety and standard processes throughout ADM Animal Nutrition. This position will provide support for standardizing processes and procedures. Some of the key components of this role are to identify and implement QFS standard methodologies and validations to reduce quality disruptions to our operations and our customers; conduct detailed risk assessments and standardize the food safety plans across global Animal Nutrition locations; provide support for internal audits, including root cause corrective actions; coordinate action plans for continuous improvements; develop and provide QFS training and support to the locations and regional QFS teams; and communicate and collaborate across all levels and functions within the business.
This position reports to the Director of Quality and Food Safety - Global Animal Nutrition.

Position Description:

  • Evaluate food safety plans and coordinate updates with regional quality leaders and QFS center of excellence to ensure potential risks are identified and controlled
  • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Lead Instructor
  • Deliver trainings to align with required regulations
  • Provide mentorship on PCQI/HACCP personnel needs at each region
  • Work with regional QFS managers to ensure all product risks have been identified and proper controls in place
  • Develop standardized processes for plant level QA verifications, coordinate with regional QFS managers
  • Responsible for oversight and coordination of internal QFS audits, root cause identifications and corrective actions that drive continuous improvements
  • Evaluate global KPI reporting and performance including identification of areas for improvement, including customer complaints, first pass prime, significant quality events, and cost of poor quality
  • Standardize document control practices across global Animal Nutrition
  • Develop global QFS training program for the locations


  • BS degree in Feed Science or related experience AND/OR 10+ years in quality experience in feed/food
  • Extensive knowledge of global and state regulatory requirements
  • PCQI Animal Food Lead Instructor or capable of achieving
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead, mentor, build consensus and lead change among a team of production/sales/QFS colleagues
  • Experience implementing and maintaining quality processes in off-site support function
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, including internationally
