Overview:

This position is responsible for managing the Business of Global IT reporting to the Global IT Governance Leader. The position focuses on proactively identifying and managing programs, organization, communications, resources and acting as a liaison with the FP&A group. This role will also assist the organization with designing and implementing the governance programs necessary for ongoing decision making that lead to success. The candidate will lead the evolution and development of demand management and governance standards, investment governance processes, and tooling for the entire IT organization interfacing with IT leaders and teams. The person provides fact-based advice to senior executives the following strategic areas:

  • Demand Management,

  • Investment Governance,

  • Reporting on Project/ Program Management,

  • Program Management Office (PMO),

  • Portfolio management,

  • Independent Project and Program Review (IPR),

  • Budget and Resources Management for the IT organization




Key interfaces

- Internal (to IT): Global IT: Global CIO, Regional IT Leaders, Application, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure and Security Leads, Regional and Value Chain IT teams, FP&A organization, IT Governance, IT Shared Services

- External (to IT): FP&A, The Business Services Division, Regional and Value Chain business stakeholders, Corporate Functions including Finance, Tax, Treasury Procurement, HR, Legal, Communications etc.



Core Functions:

  • Supports the IT demand prioritization process

  • Gathers information, completes initial estimates, and facilitates discussions with technology teams

  • Manage investment management activities including defining the process and thresholds

  • Support the monthly IT Technology Steering Committee process including planning, preparing facilitating business stakeholder presentations

  • Educate IT and business stakeholders on the process and artifacts and standards

  • Directs and oversees Global IT PMO to ensure all programs and projects meet organizational goals and are implemented within the agreed upon scope, budget and timeline

  • Defines program governance controls; plans overall program; manage overall program budget risks / issues and monitor progress

  • Gathers, tracks and monitors status for major Global IT initiatives

  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to facilitate demand management, execute investment governance processes and oversee all aspects of global IT program management office

  • Communicates Global IT initiative status within IT leadership and to external stakeholders

  • Additional projects/responsibilities as required




Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business or computer science or related field. Masters degree or higher is desired.

  • Certified, or pursuing certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Must have at least 8-10 years experience that encompasses the following:

    • Directly managing at least multi-million dollar global projects, or subsections of large/complex projects and experience in leading/managing full lifecycle projects

    • Strong program management and PMO skills. Ability to manage complex transformation plans across internal and external teams, delivering expected results, while leading the identification and mitigation of business and technical risks

    • Experience in investment management, resource management and budget process

    • Ability to perform critical analysis of large complex program/projects

    • Ability to perform feasibility studies; cost benefit analyses and business case creation

    • Ability to effectively interview and interact with project executive sponsors, project team and external consultants

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively

    • Good analytical, decision-making, problem solving and organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

    • Effective presentation skills

    • Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment




  • 8+ years in IT program management / PMO and investment management

  • 5+ years in IT leadership positions of expanding responsibility
