A C- 100 Processor is responsible for safely preparing meat product for further processing; and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.Responsibilities will include assisting in other departments or other duties as requested by management.
This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures, and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. Demonstrate safety as a top priority; follow all safety procedures and avoid all accidents; actively determine ways to improve safety; use appropriate safety equipment when required (ear plugs, rubber boots, face shields, aprons, bump caps, etc.) Use lockout/tag out procedures when requiredMaintain and operate all equipment in a safe manner to avoid injury to self or othersKeep work area neat, clean and sanitaryReport all work-related injuries or unsafe conditions to supervisor immediatelyMaintain good personal hygieneFollow instructions from supervisor and cooperate with coworkers and other departments; be willing to fill in where neededMaintain a positive attitudeWatch and control flow of productMinimize product lossMust be able to reassemble machinery if taken apartSet up all equipment, including disintegrator, pumps, lines, hydroflaker, conveyor, etc.Clean and sanitize all equipment.Other duties as assigned
Language Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
