In this Key Role You will be responsible for:

  • Leading Product Research and Development efforts
  • Building samples by following given formulas/instructions or by creating new products using culinary skills.
  • Managing customer communication and leading customer R&D visits
  • Thinking creatively to develop prototypes, manage formulations, and technically lead projects
  • Being adaptive to changing priorities and uncertainty in the fuzzy front end of innovation
  • Working together with Production and Quality Departments to ensure new products are within specifications and regulations
  • Proven ability to work within a collaborative team environment and provide informal guidance to team members
  • Writing specifications for new products and communicates them to the various departments
  • Managing the relationship with ingredient supplier to source and select appropriate materials
  • Managing sample materials from vendors and customers.
  • Coordinating the innovation process by building and maintaining product development timelines and tracking project progress.
  • Perform organoleptic and other sensory panels
  • Having fun while doing your job and bringing really good dishes to our potlucks!

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Culinology, Food Science or related field of study.
  • 3-5 years of experience in food or related industry.
  • Dough formulation and/or Rheon machine experience a plus
  • Able to use Micro Soft Office and related programs.
  • Analyze data using statistical methods.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Work individually or in teams
