Finished Goods Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Position Overview:

The Finished Goods Production Supervisor will perform as a proactive leader in the Momence Packing manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor will be expected to lead, motivate and provide learning opportunities for team members to achieve production results, improve individual skills and enhance teamwork. In addition, this position will ensure compliance with safety, quality and sanitation requirements as well as function as a technical and business resource in areas of system operations and production requirements. This leader will work toward continuous improvement of production line performance measures by leading actions for assigned lines. This position will also establish and sustain effective relationships with all team members in order to foster an environment where innovation and cooperation are used to solve problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently lead the second shift Finished Goods lines in the areas of quality, productivity and performance as well as develop improvement plans and drive member ownership in these areas
  • Assess staffing needs of lines and maintain budgeted resources to maximize line output and lowest cost production results
  • Properly allocate resources through daily production scheduling
  • Ensure the completion of daily production performance reports and shift paperwork
  • Foster member engagement through the communication of information to members
  • Be able to create and promote a team environment

Education:

  • Associate’s degree required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in leadership/supervision of others
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a food manufacturing environment

Skills and Competencies:

  • Bi-lingual in both Spanish and English preferred
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to lead by example and also involve others in the decision-making process
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible by adjusting priorities
  • Ability to innovate and implement
