Description

This position is responsible for providing the best guest experience possible at all private events by offering excellent customer service, full catering/beverage service and educating customers on Testarossa and its history. This position reports to the Events Supervisor and Hospitality Operations Manager, with key interaction with members of every department.


Responsibilities & Essential Functions

  • Maintain winery image to reinforce standards of the brand
  • Maintain a positive attitude throughout all guest and staff interactions
  • Review Event Order as furnished by the Events Coordinator
  • Execute all tasks that are necessary before, during and after an event including but not limited to: preparation of glasses, table set up/tear-down, food and beverage service
  • Reinforce the quality control of wine and wine inventory
  • Anticipate the guest’s needs and ensure their expectations are exceeded throughout the event
  • Educate all guests on the Testarossa history, culinary menu items and Testarossa’s award winning wines
  • Use the registers accurately
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures (i.e. broken glass, lifting & carrying, etc.)
  • Maintain the aesthetics of the winery
  • Secure the building premises (including lights and event parking gate) after an event
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years serving, catering or event experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organization of an event
  • Passion for wine in your day-to-day life
  • Positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging environment
  • Professional appearance
  • Available evenings, a minimum of two weekends per months and holidays on occasion
  • Work environment is both indoor and outdoor
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs frequently throughout the duration of the shift
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs for the duration of the shift while carrying trays for food and beverage service
