The Candidate: We are currently seeking an Eastern Regional Business Development Manager on a full-time basis to build our brand presence in the club, mass, and grocery channels.

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • An extensive background in the sales and marketing of either the Frozen Seafood and/or the Frozen Grocery categories
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an entrepreneurial, nimble team
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Extensive Broker management experience within the industry
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced business environment
  • Working knowledge of the distribution process: retail customers, processors, brokers and distributors.
  • Possess extensive relationships in the trade; both with national retail accounts and major distributors.
  • Creative and practical problem-solving capabilities
  • Exemplary math, general accounting and Microsoft Office skills along with the ability to navigate and learn new trade promotional tools and software
  • Must be willing to work extended hours as business objectives warrant the need.
  • Deliver sales results through personal sales as well as overseeing entire team sales objectives
  • Work with Production and Operational Managers to ensure the proper inventory, production, timing and logistics are in place to accommodate each customer’s needs
  • Design and implement promotional, expense, and marketing budgets
  • Developing, maintaining and expanding sales and relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Providing market feedback (quality, pricing, availability) to all team members.
  • Communicating orders, allocations, projects and feedback on a timely basis.
  • Support the companywide vision and go-to-market strategy
  • Recommending and administering sales forecasts, trends and broker quotas.
  • Ensuring all transactions and activities conform to company policies and procedures.
  • Work strategically with senior leadership to build relationships, sales deals and tactics that allow the company to stay innovative and relevant in the ever-evolving food industry.
