Position Title: District Sales Manager

Reports To: REGION VICE PRESIDENT

Division: AB Mauri North America

FLSA Status: EXEMPT

Department: SALES

Position Objective:

To continue to grow profitability within the District by meeting customer needs and by providing the highest customer quality and services in the sales of yeast and AB Mauri baking ingredients.

Key Result Areas: Performance Standards

Sales

  • Strengthen and maintain existing customer relationships.
  • Identify and introduce new products to achieve targeted growth.
  • Analyze sales reports monthly and take appropriate action.
  • Ensure pricing requests and terms and conditions are met prior to customer confirmation.
  • Work closely with TSM’s to identify new business opportunities and support customer base with technical sales.
  • Work closely with distributors and support their sales team.
  • Establish appropriate visit frequency with current customer base.
  • Promote Company image.

Reporting

  • Plan, analyze and manage monthly sales expenses.
  • Timely T&E management required.
  • Ongoing utilization of CRM tool including:
    • Activity reports
    • Complete sales forecasts, as required
    • Tracking customer ingredient usage
    • Significant market share changes
    • Track competitive market and industry activity

Customer Satisfaction

  • Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Proactively seek out potential customer opportunities and develop action plans to resolve concerns or issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete customer contact reports for key customers and submit via CRM Database in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Client Service team to support all customer requirements.

Professional Skills Enhancement

  • Obtain and enhance sales training annually in at least one of the following areas: product knowledge (AIB or Company product seminar, technical bulletins), selling skills, personnel management, computer skills or regulatory compliance.

Technical

  • Propose solutions which create and add value both for the customers and for AB Mauri.
  • Provide technical demonstrations and presentations for customers and assist customers in resolving technical application issues.

Human Resources

  • Comply with all HR policies and procedures.
  • Comply with relevant employment laws.

Other

  • Other duties as assigned.

a combination of the listed skills and knowledge is preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in food science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Certificate in baking technology or related discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional level sales experience in the industrial/wholesale baking industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. bi-lingual a plus, but not required.
  • Good technology skills and experience with CRM and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent planning, organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Thrives in customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle with safe driving record.
  • Food processing operations experience.
  • Technical baking skills; certificate in baking technology or similar accomplishment.
