Director of Strategic Sourcing in Fresno CA

The Director of Strategic Sourcing will execute category management to improve our supply chain efficiencies and achieve the lowest total cost of ownership. The function includes managing RFPs, optimizing our raw materials, suppliers, facilities, capabilities, transportation, and sourcing strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and understand and anticipate inflation while exceeding customer expectations.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex and detailed data and assumptions, including excellent MS Excel skills
• Demonstrable analytical ability is essential, as is the ability to understand and discuss potential financial outcomes
• Conduct opportunity assessments, benchmarking, cost modeling, and root cause analysis to develop sourcing recommendations
• Maintain sourcing database to ensure reporting is accurate; review and analyze reporting
• Participate in cross-functional and global sourcing teams in developing sourcing strategies and supplier negotiation strategies
• Knowledge of raw materials and commodities
• Knowledge of various sources of available goods and services within Raw Materials and Commodities
• Investigate pain points within the process and develop solutions to resolve conflicts and inefficiencies, risk mitigation
• Gather data on each step within the supply chain, using it to recommend changes to reduce costs, reduce waste, reduce inventory, extend DPO or improve delivery performance
• Excellent communication, facilitation (workshops), and influencing skills with the ability to build strong partnerships at all levels within the organization
• Experience using ERP systems like SAP, DAX, Oracle, etc.
• Technical or Analytical degree, MBA a plus in relative
