Fast-growing food and agricultural startup producing plant protein and vegetable oil is seeking a Director Regulatory & Scientific Affairs. Position will be responsible for strategic direction of Regulatory Affairs program, domestic and international regulatory approvals, data development for regulatory dossiers, implementation/management controls for product specifications/quality/safety, development of Quality Assurance Compliance processes (HCAAP, GMP’s, USDA Organic), and will serve as liaison to trade organizations and external consultants. Position reports to Sr. VP Product Development. Ideal candidate will have deep experience in the US FDA GRAS process and background in Toxicology. Candidate must have minimum Masters or PhD in Biochemistry, Genetics, Food Science, Human Nutrition, Toxicology or related field with 10+ years in life-sciences, food or feed industry.
