  • Handle all production issues related to new product launches
  • Train and motivate supervisory and production staff
  • Provide ongoing production communication and performance reporting
  • Establish and monitor system effectiveness related to procurement of resources to meet production needs
  • Play an active role with senior management in decision making as it pertains to efficient production methods
  • Approve employee time records and payroll on a weekly basis
  • Review production employees work, vacation, attendance and discipline records for timely record keeping

Continuous Improvement

  • Define, create, and implement processes and associated documentation for Culinary Assurance
  • Lead continuous improvement changes (e.g. recipe yields, capacity, pre-op reviews)
  • Improve production processes to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Provide root cause analysis for any operational challenges
  • Continuously improve operational workflow by monitoring steps of the process including:

  • Observing control points and equipment
  • Setting process standards
  • Monitoring personnel and resources and studying methods used
  • Implementing cost reductions
  • Developing reporting procedures and systems
  • Facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points
  • Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments

Quality Assurance

  • Implement meticulous training and oversight of all staff to improve operational processes spanning all areas of our operations: pre-op, deboxing and prep, cooking, assembly, cooling, fulfillment, etc.

  • Demonstrate capability to create new processes that ensure consistency, premium taste, and appearance of every meal leaving our high-volume kitchen
  • Implement and adhere food quality and food safety gold standards
  • Utilize your knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, SQF, and USDA regulations
  • Identify process improvement opportunities via meal ratings, cancellation data, Trust Pilot reviews, etc.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and implement preventative maintenance plans

Data Analysis

  • Thoroughly reviewing meal ratings on a daily, weekly, and monthly cycle
  • Daily analysis of cancellation/complaint data for operational challenges
  • Review menu production schedule by day and output
  • Review shelf life studies by ingredient, meal, and production day
  • Analyze historical meal residuals and log results


  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations
  • Ability to handle many concurrent work streams
  • High attention to detail
  • Familiarity with USDA/FDA guidelines
  • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing projects and activities
  • Lean six sigma experience a plus
  • Better Process Control School and HACCP certification
  • Experience working with the FDA and 3rd party auditors
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is helpful
