Director of National Accounts Sales (CPG)

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas

PES ## 1705

Our client is a Manufacturer of private label consumer products sold through all major retail channels. They are experiencing good growth. This position is the direct result of this growth and expansion.

This is a highly visible job reporting direct to the Vice President of Sales.

This individual will work from his/her home based office.


Work with senior management in terms of creating and developing annual sales plan and budgets.

Achieve said budgeted sales and profit objectives.

Manage assigned budgets.

Manage and grow their current Walmart, Sam’s Club and assigned Customers.

Manage an existing broker sales network.

Significantly grow the region’s business existing business by further penetrating existing customers and the prospecting of new business.

Ensure products are properly displayed and merchandised at the retail stores.

Work well with cross-functional teams to include: marketing, operations, finance and distribution.

Manage and report competitive activity to include pricing, promotions and new products.

Preparing and executing annual customer sales and marketing plans to achieve annual sales objectives.

Maintaining accountability for promotional budgets and assisting in the timely resolution of payment and deduction-related issues

Maintaining a real time sales opportunity funnel and assisting VP of sales in preparing monthly sales reports and analysis.

Managing the execution of assigned trade shows and other related industry events.


Minimum 10 to 15 years of related private label sales experience and accomplishments within the CPG Industry

Experience selling to Walmart & Sam’s Club Corporate.

Other national Key Account experiences an added plus.

Self-starter with a high energy level, passion for the business and a strong sense of urgency in today’s highly competitive marketplace.

Ability to work with teams of fellow employees.

Experience managing brokers.

Excellent presentation skills with the ability to add value to the call and ultimately close the sale.

Solid analytical skills.

Experience with syndicated data such as IRI and Nielsen.

Some Category Management or Trade Marketing experience an added plus.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills (including oral/written presentation skills).

Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Travel required.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
