Director of Engineering / Maintenance

Director of Engineering/Maintenance needed for a growing family owned beverage processing facility in Florida.

This position is responsible for the overall function and reliability of plant facilities including buildings, grounds, machinery, supporting equipment and maintenance department mechanics. Responsible for creating / maintaining and improving upon programs / plans including CMMS, preventative and predictive maintenance, OEE, SOP’s, Safety and OSHA compliance, stormwater and wastewater programs.

The successful candidate will be high energy, hands-on and results oriented with a strong work ethic who takes ownership and has a sense of urgency.

Must have the ability to train and mentor engineering department staff.

This position is primarily day shift hours but requires flexibility to be on-call after hours, and some weekends and holidays as needed during projects and/or seasonal production demands.

Minimum Requirements and skills:

5 years of maintenance management experience in a juice, dairy or pasteurized beverage environment.

Working knowledge and troubleshooting capability for electrical power controls (PLC, VFD, instruments including Allen Bradley, Direct Logics, HMI).

Working knowledge of Pasteurizers, pumps, valves, tanks and controls. 

Working knowledge of high-speed bottle fillers, cappers, case packers, conveyors and controls.

Working knowledge of ammonia and freon refrigeration systems and controls.

Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and controls.
