Director, Food Safety and Quality Assurance

REQUIRED:
- Meat industry experience and food manufacturing experience required
- Masters of Science Degree in Animal Science, Meat Science, Food Science, or similar field; or five years of related experience and/or training in various ascending leadership roles in Food Safety and Quality departments, or combination of education and training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead food safety and quality program, while providing leadership in all aspects of food safety operations
- Lead a team to develop quality standards and programs, which assures production of products to meet customer and company expectations.
- Maintain GFSI and regulatory compliance with food safety and quality expectations in the production of fresh beef, and further processed meat and poultry products
- Manage laboratory and regulatory functions
- Evaluate and manage food safety program software
- Develop a strategy and vision for the FSQA team
