Demand Planner

Responsible for future demand and inventory planning based on business demand plan and customer orders. Serve customers by providing product and service information and by resolving product and service problems. 

Responsibilities: 

• Review orders from customers and notify customers if orders cannot be fulfilled due to capacity constraints, raw material constraints, lack of lead time, etc.
• Formulate long term production plans by line/ product type/ capacity
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping
• Work with management and customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability
• Communicate with internal and external sales teams and customers in response to stock status, back orders and out of stocks
• Coordinate outboard customer shipments via carrier portals, VMW and customer SAP portals
• Perform order entry, order expediting, customer service call resolution, returned goods authorizations as needed
• Other job duties related to demand planning, customer service, and logistics
• Willing to travel between Maumee and Archbold facilities

Skills:

• Customer service experience with partners both external and internal
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience in EDI transaction processing
• Excellent PC skills, in Microsoft office suite
• Comfortable entering and retrieving data on web-portals etc.
• Excellent math, organization, and time management skills
• Interact professionally with other employees and customers
• Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
• Good written and verbal skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, performance-based environment
• SAP experience a plus
