Enterprise Analytics (EA) The Organization You Will Be Part Of

We have established a central Enterprise Analytics team to drive a culture of data and analytics driven business decision-making, from the executive boardroom to the store shelf. To fulfil this vision, we are building advanced data, analytical and automation capabilities while also delivering improved cross-functional insights to help the enterprise make faster and better decisions to ultimately win in the marketplace.

Position Summary Your Impact

As a Demand Modeling and Price Optimization specialist, drive strategic portfolio and pricing recommendations in the business. Work with large datasets, apply various statistical modelling, econometric modelling and optimization techniques to deliver business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities What You\u2019ll Do

  • Develop and run elasticity models, including cross-price elasticity models and hierarchical models of attribute-based elasticities
  • Program linear constrained optimizations, including coding for constraints, scenarios and relationships between prices
  • Perform necessary data preparations including pre-processing of datasets to ensure consistency across multiple inputs, transformations of categorical variables, deriving additional attributes needed
  • Link and analyze variety of external data sets including panel data, ecommerce data, retailer data to improve and validate models
  • Analyze the impact of downstream financial implications of different scenarios and provide recommendations
  • Research and apply new techniques in Machine Learning, Deep Learning along with industry standard methodologies to scale and automate optimization algorithms

  • Work with Enterprise Optimization Manager and Advanced Analytics Director, to generate innovative, cross-functional solutions which accurately address the asks of the business
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics, Technology teams and business functions across portfolio of analytics projects

Necessary Skills & Qualifications

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge & experience in mathematical modeling skills such as Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming, hierarchical modeling, Heuristics etc.
  • Statistical programming experience in tools such as SAS, SPSS, STATA
  • Programming experience with statistical libraries in R, Python
  • Experience in large data set manipulation using SQL, RDBMS MS-SQL
  • Experience working with cloud environments (Azure, Databricks) a plus
  • Experience in advanced econometric modeling is a plus.
  • Storytelling, Visualizing (Tableau, PowerBI), Communication of results in a succinct manner
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers at all levels to influence business strategy and act as a thought partner
  • Excellent business technical communication and project planning skills

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Master\u2019s Degree in Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Quantitative Economics or a similar field. PhD a Plus.
  • 5+ years of experience using various statistical programming tools to develop and apply advanced optimization, cognitive or machine learning methods and algorithms to meet business priorities.
  • Experience in consumer products preferred
