Kemps is a subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA).Starting salary is $22.00/hour. After training period (90-120 days), pay rate will increase to $28.05/hour. Full-Time employees are eligible for a company paid Pension plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits with a company-paid HRA totaling over $1,500/year. This is a Union position with seniority based overtime requirements. All routes are local, no OTR routes. Be back home to your family every night! The Class A Delivery Driver Trainee will assist regular Delivery Drivers that provide local services to large grocery stores, convenience stores, nursing homes, schools, hospitals and more. Driver Trainees may operate a straight truck and/or a tractor trailer. They are accountable for high standards of outstanding customer service and are expected to communicate frequently to their peers, supervisors, and others as necessary.All Class A Delivery Driver Trainees must graduate to regular Delivery Driver status by end of probationary period. After probationary period, Driver Trainees will become Delivery Drivers and be paid at full scale of $28.05. We expect our drivers to represent our Company professionally and respectfully. Safe driving and delivery functions at assigned locations. Maintain exceptional customer service standardsPresent a professional, safe, and clean truck. Required to maintain all log and trip records according to company policy and DOT guidelines. Based on route design, will load and unload product as required at designated stops (2 wheel cart and/or pallet jacket), may include stocking and ordering of product (Varies from route to route). Must be fully aware and accountable to ALL Federal Motor Carrier RegulationsAcknowledgement and follow through on maintenance needs for all assigned vehiclesAttendance required at company and sponsored training sessions and meetingsDriver appearance must be professional and follow company guidelines. All Driver Trainees must be able to perform necessary duties as a regular route driver by end of probationary period (90-120 days). Other duties as assigned.
