The Certification Specialist is responsible for the preparations and maintenance of certifications and documents related to Kosher, Organic and Halal products and TTB reporting. The Certification Specialist must be able to read and understand Kosher, Organic, Halal and TTB Regulations as they relate to our business and, interpret how those regulations impact the operational aspects of our business. The Certification Specialist must determine the appropriateness of documents or procedures and standardize all documents to adhere to agency requirements, eliminating over documentation. Seek team collaboration to ensure document validation and effectiveness.


  • Update and maintain the Kosher, Organic and Halal programs.
  • Secure and maintain applicable Kosher, Organic and Halal certifications.
  • Submit requested finished products to certifying agencies for Kosher, Organic and/or Halal certification.
  • Maintain registers required by Kosher, Organic and Halal certifying agencies.
  • Responsible as the primary contact for agency audits and compliance questionnaires.
  • Evaluate existing documentation for applicability, completeness and compliance.
  • Communicate with all departments to obtain needed information/documentation.
  • Compile and submit monthly TTB reporting for drawback.
  • Submit new product formulas to TTB for Non-Beverage Status
  • Must source materials and information as needed to complete projects.
  • Must have regular, punctual attendance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Nutrition, Biology; or related field and excellent English grammar and spelling.
  • Two years of experience within the food industry with a preferred emphasis on food manufacturing.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite; experience creating spreadsheets, sound math aptitude and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Very organized with the ability to take charge of and complete projects.

This Position will be reporting ot the East LA Plant for about a month then relocate to Pacoima
