Job Description:

CTS is looking to add an ambitious Carrier Sales Representatives for our office in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for the day-to-day capacity planning and covering of open loads available on our dispatching software. You will focus on securing the right carrier at the right price at the right time to deliver the customer’s goods on time, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with existing carriers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all carrier sales activities for the region(s) for CTS as directed. This includes, but is not limited to, the following key components of the job functions:

  • Develop new and grow existing carrier relationships (lead generation, cold calling and referrals). Perform daily sourcing activities including targeting new carriers, negotiating and developing carrier rates and sourcing and selecting the most efficient carriers.
  • Develops and maintain effective Carrier relationships with CTS carriers to include proper carrier capability profiling
  • Maintain constant contact with carriers to secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business agreements. Will be responsible for spot pricing and contract rating opportunities in collaboration with sales and other operating management of CTS.
  • Maintains appropriate communications within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure shipment details are accurately communicated and tracked in the system.


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Candidate should be extremely comfortable on the phone making cold calls.
  • Passion for sales and logistics-Highly Motivated/Self Directed
  • Quick learner with ability to multi-task
