Since 1993, the Canadian Professional Meat Cutters Association (CPMCA) has been providing resources and support for the professionals in the meat cutting business throughout Canada. The organization has since developed and produced a training manual for schools and the industry as a whole that can be used for educational purposes. The association offers a platform for interchange of ideas, information, and educational resources to assist members in the meat industry who are having challenges in today’s industry. The CPMCA is also active in networking with other national associations such as Agriculture Canada to ensure data among the entire industry is accurate. These connections also provide members with the opportunity to engage in professional dialogue across associations.
