Our client, a Canadian owned and operated food ingredients company, is looking for an experienced Buyer (Grains) to join their team.

What You’ll Do:

• Grow and maintain a network of farmers
• Actively and continuously scouting new relationships with farmers/growers. This includes cold-calling and on-site visits
• Travel regularly to visit farmers and build long term relationships
• Frequent negotiation with farmers and other local suppliers to procure commodities.

Education and Experience

• 3+ years of sales or procurement experience in agricultural commodities or related services
• Good understanding of CGC grading guide for pulses
• SGS Training / Quality certifications an asset
• Ability to travel frequently as needed
