The responsibilities are as follow for the respective Business Unit:

• Reinforce Business Unit with plant Compelling Business Need (CBN)

• Drive employee engagement, training and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.

• Provide direct oversight for the department (~ 85 people), overseeing team leads across three shifts.

• Provide leadership for assessing and enhancing plant capabilities.

• Develop and manage department budget including capital expenditures and cost management.

• Assure regulatory compliance including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, FLSA, EEO, OFCCP and NLRB.

• Ensure all quality standards, specifications and policies are met or exceeded, drive continuous process / manufacturing improvements and collaborates with Research and Development in product development and implementation.

  • Responsible for Plant Food Safety and Quality.

• Develop a culture based on open / honest dialogue and involvement of all team members that demonstrates the value of their input / engagement in improving performance.

• Provide leadership for diversity and positive community involvement / relations.

• Drive a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and product quality & safety as well as other aspects of the business.

• Collaborate with Human Resources and other functional leaders to create and execute effective employee relations processes and develops team leaders to do the same in order to maintain a positive working environment and support the labor relations philosophy.


  • Minimum 5 - 7 Years manufacturing experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years in a production supervision or production management role in a plant required.
  • Bachelor&##39;s degree or equivalent experience (i.e. Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Food Science, Management, Operations, Biology).
  • Manufacturing experience, chemical or related USDA/FDA industry preferred. Union experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership Competencies in addition to Ethics / Values and Integrity required.
  • Results driven, action oriented, and ability to problem solve with a strategic vision required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation skills required.
  • Business, analytical and financial acumen required.
