Reporting to the Senior Brand Director Pasta Sauce, the Brand Manager will provide strategic leadership for Bertolli Pasta Sauce with responsibility for the brand strategy, P&L management, and delivery of specified business targets (volume, profit, share) through the development and execution of all brand strategies and plans. The role serves as hub of the wheel for all brand and cross functional activities impacting the 4Ps (product, price, promotion, place).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and execution of annual and long-term brand strategies and plans to deliver on business objectives and deepen consumer relevance and engagement.
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of the consumer, category, competition, and trends and transform into insights and opportunities to grow the brand.
  • Develop and manage all aspects of marketing budget and brand P&L.
  • Lead agency partnerships to create, execute, and measure media plans, consumer programs, and retailer initiatives.
  • Work closely with Sales on new item launches, pricing strategies, and distribution initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Innovation and R&D to develop pipeline of product and package innovation and lead cross-functional team in commercialization.
  • Establish brand guidelines and Masterbrand operating principals to ensure cohesive brand positioning across all licensed categories. Oversee relationship with Licensee partners.
  • Manage cross functional team and coach brand staff.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS required in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of marketing experience; consumer packaged goods experience within the food industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and problem solve; highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in leading cross functional team and managing agency partners
  • High proficiency in syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI)
  • Strong sense of urgency and a self-starter
  • Some travel required
