Job Title: Production Line Lead
Reports To: Production Supervisor/Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

SUMMARY: The Production Line Lead is responsible for overseeing a production line and is accountable for meeting the quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale goals for the assigned area.The Production Line Lead willassist the Production Supervisor in planning departmental work, departmental administrative duties, and placement of employees on specic jobs. May relieve employees on key positions. Perform troubleshooting duties on all equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Train and develop the Machine Operators on assigned line on the operation of machinery efficiently, safely, and within compliance.
Direct all plant related activities on assigned line to include but not limited to: machine set up and operation, production material availability and replenishment, quality checks, sanitation, etc.
Verify line setup is ready and product approved for production by start of shift.
Follow procedures in place to conduct flavor and package change overs.
Work closely with Supervisor to complete daily schedules and get Supervisor approval on any shortages or changes of the schedule immediately.
Assist machine operators on change overs.
Cover breaks and lunches for production operators as needed.
Follow and train employees on Mizkan policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as necessary to assist the Supervisor.
Responsible for food product quality and safety.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Knowledge about equipment.
- Ability to set-up all Production equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with all equipment.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Good work attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to adhere to effective communication and meet daily / weekly / monthly deadlines.
