Position responsibilities include:

  • Function as a liaison between vendors, employees and corporate benefits and assist with claims between employee and insurance carrier.
  • Advise employees on benefits eligibility, coverage and other benefits related matters and assist employees with benefits related questions and issues.
  • Compiles and maintains benefits files and documents in accordance with Company policy and procedure and federal/state/local laws
  • Conduct follow-up on LOA/FMLA related activity, check/log new medical cards received prior to distribution, and place orders for new medical cards.
  • Enroll, update and terminate employee’s benefits plans in accordance with company policy and procedure and according to employee request.
  • Communicate and document changes in the benefits systems and programs.
  • Facilitate the new hire orientations, 401(K) Educational meetings and open enrollment periods.
  • Coordinate, schedule and present employee service awards within guidelines of company policy.
  • Maintain internal HRIS system and process accurate and timely employee transactions.
  • Adhere to HIPPA and employee confidentiality.


  • This position advises employees on benefits policies and procedures, facilitates and coordinates new employee benefits orientation, 401(k) Educational meetings and open enrollment.
  • This position requires the incumbent to observe HIPPA standards and to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Listen to others, demonstrate understanding and have the ability to effectively communicate with employees on all levels.
  • Provide clear benefits information to employee.
  • Incumbent needs to motivate employees to make the most appropriate benefits decisions regarding enrollment.
  • Incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Three to five years’ experience in benefits administration – human resources administration.
  • Effective business communication skills and thorough knowledge of accepted business practices, benefits functions, company policies and procedures and applicable federal, state and local laws.
  • Experience as a user of multiple business software applications.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret results and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
