Industrial Manufacturing Company is looking for:

POSITION: Assistant Employee Relations Manager
LOCATION: South Milwaukee 53110
SALARY: $65K-75K + 10% Bonus + Pension after 5 years
EXPERIENCE: 2+Years HR Experience preferably in manufacturing or distribution
DEGREE: Required


Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for all functional areas of HR, such as recruiting and staffing, personnel records, training, compliance with state and federal laws, employee relations, talent management, compensation, and retention.

Designs, implements, and administers human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbook and/or meetings. Ensures policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently.

Create, uphold, and maintain company handbook and HR policies.

Administers benefits plans and programs locally, which will include conducting annual open enrollment meetings, ensuring employees are properly educated on plan offerings, and enrollments are completed for each eligible employee.

Designs and conducts new hire orientation and assimilation and/or onboarding activities as well as training not related to new hires.

Develops and maintains communication and recognition programs and activities designed to increase employee engagement and enhance employee-organization relationships. These activities may include social activities, service awards, attendance awards and operational or commercial milestone celebrations.

Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.

Collect information and prepare reports in line with Group HR policies for month-end figures and follow up indicators.

Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills):

BA in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (preferred)

2+ years of experience HR

Knowledge of HR laws and regulations

Knowledge of HRIS systems (preferred)

Strong PC skills required (Microsoft Office suite) (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Strong analytical skills

Excellent communication skills

Self-starter who follows issues through to resolution

Organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

Able to interact with all levels of staff and management (internal and external)

Must be flexible to work different hours as needed by the department/business
