The Area Manager will be responsible for the development and success of The Wine Group portfolio within the State of Florida. The Area Manager will also be responsible for managing the execution of The Wine Group portfolio through the wholesaler with a primary focus on the Off-Premise Chain Channel.


  • Annual sales volume, accounts purchasing, and points of distribution goals in the Off-Premise Chain Channel:
  • Chain Off Premise and some smaller chains
  • Sales volume, new item execution, planner and floor execution
  • Strategic thinking, persuasive selling, and building strong rapport with wholesaler and retailers
  • Distributor introduction, training, and execution of the TWG in-store merchandising standards
  • Cross Merchandising: In/Out of department execution, product merchandising execution
  • Manage budgets in the following categories: Pricing, Incentives, Travel and Entertainment expenses
  • Accountable for regional chain key account calls
  • Assist Internal Team with managing distributor new item execution, planner and floor execution
  • Develop creative merchandising and programming concepts (ex. Cross merchandising, out of department display opportunities, etc.)
  • Present continuous improvement concepts (ex. Better efficiencies, less variance in sales execution, improved shelf management quality, etc.)
  • Participate in distributor general sales meetings as representative of TWG, presenting monthly brand priorities and programs when scheduled
  • Conduct in-field Work With s to help support distributor teams sell in of priority chain programs
  • Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Manage Coupon and Tasting Budgets
    • Manage Off Premise and Chain POS
    • Manage Pricing documents and monthly forecasting

  • 5 or more years of experience in the alcoholic beverage industry and sales experience or related business with a knowledge and passion for both commercial and premium wines
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
  • Intermediate wine knowledge or associated certifications preferred
  • Must be well organized with an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and be flexible to changes in the wine industry
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Office and Outlook)
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel and with overnight stays as needed
  • Ability to work and succeed in dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • Support and model all Company procedures and policies

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in an office environment.
  • Ability to travel frequently between home office, client sites, and industry meeting/events
