Amerio Discharge Operator is responsible for monitoring packages exiting the spiral/Amerio freezer as well as performing quality/operational checks throughout the shift. Operator is also required to maintain production flow through the area. Amerio Discharge Operator is responsible for all QA requirements.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Ensure packages flow on conveyors correctly.
  • Return/rework packages to line when feasible.
  • Assist in clearing jams.
  • Collect taste panel samples, micro samples and nutritional analysis samples for required hour codes.
  • Enter and verify the correct information on all paperwork that is required.
  • Perform temperature checks to guard against high core.
  • Verify presence and legibility of hour/day code and record on proper documentation.
  • Relieve caser operator on some retail lines.
  • Responsible for change-over's, accumulation and pushing out product.
  • Chemical washdown of assigned areas using hoses and cleaning equipment as needed including minor adjustments and lubrications.
  • Ensures all TPM activities (CL/CIL/5S/Tagging/SOC/etc.) are maintained and compliant to the efficient operation of the equipment.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Must have legible handwriting with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Detect and understand warning lights, buzzers, alarms or instruments indicating hazardous conditions or circumstances which may cause equipment or product loss and physical harm.
  • Must observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Must follow safety rules and procedures indicated in the Amerio Discharge SOP and training manual.
  • Must follow all chemical training and safety rules pertaining to EPSU cleaning.
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week on an assigned shift with some daily overtime and weekend overtime.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
