The Agile Coach, Program Office is responsible for helping internal clients deliver outcomes against some of the organization&##39;s most complex and cross-functional initiatives and products. The Agile Coach encourages, empowers, and coaches both leadership and Agile teams, with a focus on the Scrum Masters and Product Owners. In this position, your role as an Agile Coach will require you to be a strategic partner and thought leader for an organization transitioning to Agile delivery methodologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Agile Coaching & Facilitation
Coach a small number of cross-functional Agile teams, which may include temporary initiative teams or more long-standing product teams
Educate and influence Agile teams and stakeholders, at the program and team levels, on the core concepts and principles in an emerging Agile environment
Quickly establish collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and team members to help them in their journey of adopting Agile methodologies
Monitor health and maturity of Agile teams, supporting various types of team measurement, to provide transparency and enable the team&##39;s ability to continuously inspect and adapt
Identify and proactively address issues contributing to lack of clarity and waste across Agile teams and programs
Model and coach proper facilitation of Scrum and Kanban ceremonies
May need to serve as temporary Scrum Master when needed

Product Orientation

Partner with Product Owners / Product Managers to ensure the product vision is clearly documented in a charter / roadmap and is aligned to the organizational goals
Coach and train Product Owners / Product Managers to evangelize outcome-driven product / initiative delivery

Embrace Agile - Center of Excellence / Community of Practice
Help to establish and support the Agile Center of Excellence, Scrum Master Community of Practice, and Product Community of Practice
Build relationships and foster community with Agilists and Lean / CI practitioners across the organization
Provide agile training and develop supporting job aids / tools / exercises to build agile capabilities and promote agile mindsets across the organization

Other duties as assigned by manager

SUPERVISION: No direct supervision responsibilities. Indirectly manages work efforts of agile team, provides specific and balanced feedback, coaches team with input from stakeholders, and provides performance input to direct supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training:
• Bachelor&##39;s degree in Business / Marketing / Finance / Operations / Computer Science or related field required
• Scrum Master Certification required
• Certified Scrum Product Owner preferred

Related Experience/Requirements:
• 5+ years of successful experience in agile product management / software development environments, preferably as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
• 3+ years successful experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies
• Experience with scaling frameworks, such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), LeSS, and/or Scrum Scale highly preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Agile Methodologies
Expertise in Scrum and Kanban methodologies
Expertise in scaling frameworks such as SAFe, Spotify, LeSS, and/or Scrum Scale

Building working relationships with Product Owners and Product Managers; supporting them in leading development product delivery teams
Experience working with cross-functional teams (business and IT / enablement)
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills and can quickly build and earn trust
Experience/familiarity with agile software development
Past product management or agile roles
Knowledge in emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and facilitating crucial conversations
Proficiency leading through influence

Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
Proven ability to provide direction and oversight of project completion
Past success leading agile delivery teams

Proficiency in the following required:
Jira, Monday.com, or similar work management tool
